In the allegory of spiritual creation (Genesis 1) we find the third day typifying the period of progress in which the multiplicity of God's ideas is revealed. The symbol of multiplicity is the seed, and its wonderful fitness is seen when we contemplate the possibilities of reproduction contained within a single tiny grain. But reproduction in God's universe is not the creation of new identities. It is the unfolding of Mind's immortal ideas through the reflection of all-inclusive Mind.
Mary Baker Eddy writes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 511): "This Mind forms ideas, its own images, subdivides and radiates their borrowed light, intelligence, and so explains the Scripture phrase, 'whose seed is in itself.' Thus God's ideas 'multiply and replenish the earth.'" So unified is Mind's creation that each of "its own images," reflecting Mind, reflects all that Mind contains, includes by reflection every identity that peoples Mind's realm.
God's images, His divine children, are the objects of Love, the emanations of Spirit, and are infinite in their scope of reflection as well as in the essence of their goodness. They are not minds, but ideas of the one infinite Mind. To understand these truths enriches one's present sense of existence, for it shows one that the completeness of his true selfhood is a demonstrable fact. He learns that he cannot separate himself from any identity but must work out the unity of being by discerning the perfection of every individual as it actually exists in Science. This brings to light the integration of ideas as Mind's indivisible reflection, and it heals human in-harmonies. It reveals the fitness of all ideas to express divinity; because none is left out of Mind, none is useless or a misfit. The peace of nations rests upon the understanding of this fact.
