I was an active member of an orthodox church when I was very young, but some of its teachings I could not believe. Several years later, while browsing in a public library, I found the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and while I thought I was procuring the book out of curiosity, I realized later that this Science was indeed an answer to my prayers for greater understanding.
The passing on of my father was a great loss to me; the separation seemed more than I could bear. I had never believed that death was a part of God's great and good plan, and in Christian Science I found a logical and satisfactory explanation of God and of life, and my mourning was turned into joy.
While reading the textbook I was healed of a malignant disease, which had steadily been getting worse, although I had been under medical treatment for several years. Chronic constipation, a light form of rheumatism, anemia, headaches, as well as other physical ailments, and the desire for coffee completely vanished. All these healings have been permanent. During the intervening years I have experienced and witnessed many beautiful proofs of the omnipresence and omnipotence of God and His healing Christ.
