Having for more than thirty years reaped the benefits of Christian Science, I should like to express my gratitude for this wonderful truth. We have had many proofs of God's care in our home through demonstrations of supply, protection, and healing. When we have earnestly applied the truth, it has met our every need.
My first healing was one of chronic constipation. It came as a direct result of my daily study of the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly. Another outstanding experience was one in which my husband and I had ptomaine poisoning and suffered severe pain. We held steadfastly to "the scientific statement of being" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 468) until it was clear to us that man's real being is good; then all pain and discord vanished. Mrs. Eddy tells us (ibid., p. 480), "As vapor melts before the sun, so evil would vanish before the reality of good."
Christian Science brought to me spiritual healing of sorrow and loneliness at the passing on of a loved one. The sustaining power of Truth and the understanding of the nearness and protection of the Father's love helped me to realize that man has never been involved in the illusion of death and that his spiritual identity is forever unharmed and remains intact.
