When I saw an advertisement which read, "Christian Science services held in English," I went to a Christian Science Society for the first time. I wanted to freshen up my knowledge of English and trusted that the word Christian meant something good. I had never heard of Christian Science before. "The scientific statement of being," as it was read from the desk from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy impressed me so much that I became a student of this Science then and there. I soon joined both The Mother Church and a branch society, although I had never before belonged to a church or an organization of any kind.
Severe headaches had caused me much suffering all my life. When such a headache appeared after I began the study of Christian Science it was healed instantaneously through the reading of Science and Health, and there has been no further suffering from headaches.
Tumors, for which a doctor said a surgical operation was necessary, began to dissolve without pain or inconvenience when Christian Science treatment was given me. Humors were expelled, and great peace of mind followed this healing.
