FOLLOWING THE DISCOVERER AND FOUNDER OF CHRISTIAN SCIENCE

From the January 1954 issue of The Christian Science Journal

In her poem "Christ and Christmas" Mary Baker Eddy has this verse (p. 159):

"As in blest Palestine's hour,
So in our age,
'T is the same hand unfolds His power,
And writes the page."

Mrs. Eddy's mission was the fulfillment of prophecy. She brought to mankind the Comforter which was promised by the Master, but which, in his time, mankind was not yet ready to receive. Sitting at the feet of Jesus, in meekness and faithfulness she discovered and set out, in ways which ensured that all could understand, the spiritual laws of healing and living.
