FULFILLING DIVINE PURPOSE

From the February 1955 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Nothing can ever hinder or prevent the fulfillment of God's purpose for His creation. Each one of His ideas from the least to the greatest is uninterruptedly doing His will and manifesting His power. The Apostle Paul, recognizing God as the origin of all action, said (Phil. 2:13), "It is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure."

One's actual daily work is to acknowledge consistently that God's will is being done on earth as well as in heaven. It is to maintain that every idea of God is constantly sustained by divine law and is manifesting His purpose. The acknowledgment of these facts, under all circumstances, leads the individual into constructive paths of action.

The student of Christian Science expects every step in his experience to be one of progress and increasing usefulness under God's direction. He keeps the spiritual record of creation always before him and consistently acknowledges the guidance and protection of the Christ in all his ways.
