It is with reverence and great gratitude that I wish to testify to the many blessings which I have received during the time I have known Christian Science. As a member of an orthodox church, I was reluctant to leave my old church and follow Christian Science. But divine Love was guiding me.
I had been in bad health for about three months, and as the doctors did not know exactly what I had, members of my family who were Christian Scientists advised me to try Science. I therefore went to see the Christian Science practitioner who had often helped them, and after she had given me some instructions to follow in connection with the treatment, I pondered all night the thought from page 454 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, "Wait patiently for divine Love to move upon the waters of mortal mind, and form the perfect concept." I repeated this often and thought about its meaning so much that the following morning I felt quite well.
In the afternoon, however, the illness attacked me again and I grew worse, but I continued to apply the truth, becoming more and more firm in it. Also, one of my sisters was at my side, encouraging me to think rightly. I recovered the same day, and there has never again been any trace of the illness.
