"There shall be one Lord"

Zechariah 14:6–9

From the August 1955 issue of The Christian Science Journal

"That day, ... the light shall not be clear, nor dark,"
For there shall be God's glory shining bright
Through all creation; all mankind shall mark
The perfect man, behold Love's child upright.
"At evening time it shall be light;" that day—
Not day nor night, this one day of the Lord—
When living waters flow their healing way
To call God King of earth, His name adored.
For in that day He shall be Lord alone
Of heaven and earth, the King of love supreme
Above all mortal might, to crown His own
With Truth to waken them from matter's dream.
That day is now, that blessed light is here,
When darkness shall forever disappear.
