Every statement of Christian Science is true and provable because it is both Christian and scientific, therefore inalienably right. Often a single scientific, right thought will bring healing.
In an honest investigation to discover a satisfactory answer to theological questionings, one non-Scientist began attending a Church of Christ, Scientist, in her community. She had been ill for some years, and just before she was to leave for a different climate in a further search for health, she contracted a cold and was filled with fear because of the doctor's predictions. She was much impressed by some of the testimonies she heard in the Wednesday testimony meetings and noted that a testifier said that one spiritual truth understood could bring healing.
With an open mind she prayed, asking God for one truth. Finally the thought came to her that God is the only Mind and Life. Although she did not understand this statement, she felt comforted. She fell asleep and awakened many times that night with that thought. In the morning a doctor's examination showed that while there had been congestion, it had disappeared, and he prescribed no medicine. This immediate release from a dreaded experience seemed miraculous. With it came a new sense of physical and spiritual freedom. All medication was immediately discontinued.
