It is with a heart filled with gratitude that I desire to let others know what Christian Science has done for me.
I was reared in an orthodox religion by Christian parents, and I was taught to study the Bible, but I could not understand why God did not answer prayers and heal as in Bible times. I had been attended by several well-known physicians and had been told that my abdominal organs had fallen and that I would be a total invalid. I resorted to an operation, but it helped me for only a short time, and the condition was soon as bad as ever.
One day a cousin of mine told me about Christian Science, and with new-found hope I went to see a practitioner. She asked me to obtain "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I did so that very day and began to read it. With the help of treatments by the practitioner, I began to improve immediately, and a new light dawned for me.
