"O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy" (Ps. 107:1, 2). In obedience to this admonition and with sincere gratitude for the tender ministrations of Christian Science in our family for over forty years, I give this testimony.
In 1910 a cousin of mine was healed of consumption after the doctors had given up the case. This relative sent copies of the Christian Science Sentinel to me, but I was not interested and laid them aside. Two years later my health began to fail, and an acute physical condition threatened to disable me completely.
Some seeds of Truth had evidently been sown, for when I asked myself what I should do, the Christian Science literature came to my thought and I searched until some copies of the Sentinel were found. I read the testimonies of healing, and although they sounded incredible, I knew that they had been carefully verified.
