Testimonies of Healing

From babyhood I suffered from sleeplessness...

From the March 1960 issue of The Christian Science Journal

From babyhood I suffered from sleeplessness, and various medical treatments were tried in an endeavor to cure this condition, but without success. Shortly after commencing to attend the Christian Science Sunday School, I realized that I did not need to suffer from this difficulty, because, as I learned there, God is the only creator and all that He created is good; therefore whatever is not good was never made and has no reality.

I remember the very deep gratitude I felt when this realization came to me. Some time later I suddenly became aware that I was sleeping normally; and although I had always been an extremely light sleeper, now a reasonable amount of noise did not disturb me.

In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mary Baker Eddy writes (p. 228), "The transmission of disease or of certain idiosyncrasies of mortal mind would be impossible if this great fact of being were learned,—namely, that nothing inharmonious can enter being, for Life is God."
