One morning I read a testimony in the Christian Science Sentinel about a man who had worked out a difficult tax matter through the help of Christian Science, and this encouraged me to believe that I too could find the solution to my problem in this Science.
At that time I was having a trying experience concerning my income tax. Because of an error in one of my reports, all my tax returns for the past ten years were being reviewed with demands for proofs that I could not now furnish. Tax claims were being accumulated in such large amounts that I could not hope to pay them, and bankruptcy seemed imminent.
I began to study the Bible and Science and Health more thoroughly and asked a practitioner in another city for help, which she readily gave. We worked together for wisdom and understanding. The work covered a period of ten months, and many phases of error were handled until the problem was finally solved.
