Though I had been reared in a Christian Science...

From the July 1961 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Though I had been reared in a Christian Science home and had seen this religion practiced from an early age, it was not until I really accepted its teachings for myself that I fully realized the limitless possibilities of Mrs. Eddy's revelation.

Our family has been healed of many forms of disease and discord. We were freed from financial strain when we worked wholeheartedly to know that God is the great provider and when we tried to do His will. As a result of this prayerful work, my husband found employment which has brought much good to us and has opened many interesting opportunities which limited concepts would have rejected as impossible.

Our son has been almost completely free from so-called contagious and infectious diseases, despite the fact that we live in a small and closely knit community where, if one of the children has an illness, it is generally expected that others will also have it. In rejecting such a belief, we have always realized that good is all that can come to God's ideas, because they reflect God, and God is good. All there is to be expressed is good.
