Within the last century mechanical and electrical devices have revolutionized mankind's way of living. It is evident to students of Christian Science that these developments have resulted from the liberation of thought due largely to the great discovery of this fundamental Science of Mind. Because these developments impinge strongly on us in our daily rounds, we need to know how, through Christian Science, we can demonstrate Mind's harmonious control over all.
Christian Science teaches us that every idea or identity exists perpetually in its spiritual perfection and that these spiritual ideas are universally available and eternally operative. Mortal thought never originated a real idea or thing; and certainly no mechanical device can subjugate the intelligently governed idea.
We may prove the practicality of Mind's intelligent control in human experience through understanding that God's idea, man, is at one with Mind and so expresses the perfect control and the consequent harmony of God's creation. Such understanding enables us to perceive the perfect order, the harmonious action, and the limitless power with which divine Principle controls every idea in the universe of Mind.
