ANNUAL MEETING OF THE MOTHER CHURCH

From the July 1965 issue of The Christian Science Journal

THE Annual Meeting of The Mother Church on June 7 drew Christian Scientists from throughout the United States and from around the world. Reports of progress on many fronts from The Mother Church officers and from the Field, accompanied by notable accounts of spiritual healing, inspired all present with a renewed sense of having part in a vital, purposeful movement. Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, out of her deep love for God and for the whole of humanity gave this movement both purpose and impetus. Members returned to their home fields with a fuller recognition that as they follow their Leader in this love for God and for the whole of humanity, they will find the impetus of their movement maintained and its purpose progressively achieved.

A detailed account of the reports given at the meeting follows.

The meeting opened with the singing from the Christian Science Hymnal of Hymn No. 305 "Feed My Sheep,'" the words of which are by our Leader, Mrs. Eddy. The retiring President, Mr. Edward Froderman, then read passages from the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy:
