Christ Jesus taught the need of spiritually guarding the children. On one occasion he took a child in his arms and said, "Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me."Mark 9:37;
A child's education guards him, and his education begins at home. Whatever care schoolteachers and Sunday School teachers take in supporting and augmenting home education, the main responsibility of giving children a good start in life devolves upon the parents.
The love expressed by parents and the healings they bring a child give him a sense of security, and this sense needs to be enlarged as the child is instructed in the understanding that his eternal security exists in God.
