Because of constant pain which developed in one shoulder, I had very limited use of one arm. At first I felt confident that through my own understanding of Truth I could bring about the healing. But as the week progressed, I became mesmerized by the pain and felt I must do something to get relief. I felt convinced that a bone was out of joint and possibly a nerve pinched. I was not able to reach a practitioner at that time, and fear of disfigurement was taking hold of my consciousness.
The alert thinking of a dear fellow student of Christian Science, who has known me for many years and has seen the consistent demonstration of Truth in the lives of my husband, our three children, and me, detected the fear in my thinking and challenged me to have a more receptive attitude, more humility and faith. Immediately after that I was able to reach the practitioner.
