Testimonies of Healing

I was most grateful for readings at a testimony...

From the June 1968 issue of The Christian Science Journal

I was most grateful for readings at a testimony meeting in our branch church. The citations in the Bible and Science and Health were on prayer and faith. I had been dwelling in thought on prayer and faith for days before the meeting. Then I found further inspiration in Hymn No. 205 of the Christian Science Hymnal. It showed me the importance of a deep and lasting faith. The last verse of this hymn reads:

O, give us such a faith as this,
And then, whate'er may come,
We taste e'en here the hallowed bliss
Of our eternal home.

I thought to myself, "This is the profound faith our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, had—a faith that made it possible for her to receive this wonderful revelation of Truth and give it to the world."
