"Motivated Men Made America Great" is the title of a recent advertisement in a leading magazine. The advertisement then gives something of the life of one of America's great men who, it proclaims, accepted challenge and the firm belief that each individual must earn his right to freedom.
The world is becoming increasingly aware of the need of worthy motivation. Many people, both senior and junior citizens under today's classifications, say that they are not properly motivated, that they are not properly employed. This frequently becomes the alibi for inaction. It may be the reason given for the failure of a person to be healthy, to do well, or to meet even the bare minimum standard of workmanship.
One does not stumble into a position of importance or consequence. He attains such a position only through motivated, persistent striving. The great work that lies before one is that of preparing himself for the fulfillment of his individual mission. It is not enough merely to talk about it or to speculate upon what others are doing or have done. One must act.
