"God is not separate from the wisdom He bestows,"Science and Health, p. 6; writes Mrs. Eddy in Science and Health. According to the teachings of Christian Science, God and man are correlated, coexistent, and coeternal. Because God is not separate from the manifestation of Himself, man, who dwells eternally at one with his creator, is not and cannot be separate from God and that which He bestows.
God bestows love, health, peace, joy, strength, beauty, harmony, and the like upon His creation. The evidence of these attributes of God in human experience is an indication that His presence is right at hand. "Am I a God at hand, saith the Lord, and not a God afar off?"Jer. 23:23; Christian Science shows how the practical implications of this Biblical declaration may be experienced by all who truly desire to acquaint themselves more fully with His nature and presence.
Today God's very existence is frequently disputed and doubted, often because so much disturbing material evidence clamors for the attention of mankind. The quickening pace of change in our world seems to be unsettling much of the world's thinking concerning Deity. If this has made one apprehensive or created in him a longing for reassurance as to God's ever-presence and availability, he may learn through the teachings of Christian Science that every evidence of goodness, intelligence, beauty, and love that appears in his human thought and that he sees expressed in his own environment is actually an indication of the presence of God. This evidence may seem to be visible at present in varying degrees of completeness. However, this is merely because one's understanding of spiritual reality is immature. In no way does it alter or affect the indisputable, scientific fact that God's wholeness and allness are fully expressed and immediately available.
