Through fulfilling God's laws, obeying His commands, and steadfastly acknowledging His allness, my family and I have had many beautiful demonstrations of the healing truths of Christian Science.
Some years ago, before my study of Christian Science, I was afflicted with a skin condition. The doctor could suggest only one form of treatment and could not assure me of any positive cure. Shortly thereafter Christian Science was brought to my attention by a neighbor. I took a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy out of the library of a Christian Science Reading Room. The book was so uplifting that I continued to read it carefully and slowly and evaluated everything I read. I loved it! I had a deep and earnest desire to understand more about God and this wonderful religion.
After this I visited a practitioner to learn more about Science and asked him to give me treatment for the skin condition. We worked together for four years. The skin condition then began to manifest itself on the upper part of my neck toward the face. I recall becoming very frightened at this point. During a visit with the practitioner I questioned him why I hadn't been healed in all this time. He said, "What if it takes you all your life?"
