These words from the Christian Science Hymnal (Hymn No. 342) have grown in meaning and beauty since my testimony was published nineteen years ago. That testimony included an instantaneous healing of the need to wear spectacles. I had worn glasses for many years. The healing, which occurred during class instruction, has been complete and permanent.
The gentle unfoldment of the Christ in human consciousness, the growing recognition of God as Father-Mother, the greater awareness of the magnitude of the work of the Master, Christ Jesus, and the full acknowledgment of his promised Comforter have been due to the daily study of Christian Science. Without this teaching permeating thought, there could not have followed the inspiration that has met my every human need.
