The Normal class of the Board of Education was held early in December. In compliance with the By-Law, Article XXX, Section 1, of the Manual of The Mother Church by Mary Baker Eddy, this class convenes on the first Wednesday of December in each third year.

The teacher of the 1970 class was Neil H. Bowles, C. S. B., of Atlanta, Georgia. A practitioner and teacher of Christian Science, Mr. Bowles has served the movement as Committee on Publication for Georgia, as a member of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship, and in many other capacities.

The class was composed of pupils from Denmark, England, Germany, India, Italy, New Zealand, as well as from the District of Columbia and the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Washington.
