Annual Meeting of The Mother Church

The Annual Meeting of The Mother Church for 1971 was held in Boston on Monday, June 7, as provided for in the Manual of The Mother Church by Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science. Last year the meeting's theme was, "But What Can I Do?" On that occasion the opportunities of the individual Christian Scientist for spiritual growth and humane service to mankind were presented in reports and addresses and on film. This year the theme was, "But What Can I Do?—A Progress Report."

The following is an account of the items that made up this progress report.

The meeting opened with the singing of Hymn No. 2 from the Christian Science Hymnal. The outgoing President, Clem W. Collins, then read passages from the Bible and the writings of Mary Baker Eddy:
