On page 45 in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, we read, "Glory be to God, and peace to the struggling hearts!"
Twenty-six years ago while I was taking a required physical examination for participation in high school football, the physician told me I had high blood pressure. I thereafter began to see many disturbing and uncomfortable symptoms of this in my body. Later, a long-held desire to attend the Naval Academy, and subsequently to fly for the Navy, was left unfulfilled when because of this condition I was unable to pass repeated physical examinations.
I worked, praying faithfully and receiving treatment from a Christian Science practitioner with regard to this problem. However, I unconsciously accepted this as a very real physical condition to be overcome instead of recognizing it as a false claim of mortal mind, and I was unable, at that time, to gain the healing I longed for.
