Church in Action News and announcements

From the Directors: A continuing need

From the June 1972 issue of The Christian Science Journal

With the construction of the Christian Science Center nearing completion, we desire to thank the Field for its continuing generous response to our invitation to erect and furnish the Center buildings to be constructed on land already owned by The Mother Church.

The cost of erecting these beautiful buildings is still to be fully met. Therefore the Building Fund will remain open until the Center is finished, all costs have been paid, and an announcement is made to the Field by this Board that the work is completed and no further contributions are needed.

Your response has been splendid, and we are profoundly grateful for the love which has been and is being expressed in the bountiful contributions toward this great undertaking by branch churches, societies, groups of Christian Scientists meeting informally, Christian Science students' associations, Christian Science college organizations, and individuals. We are confident that this support will continue in ever-increasing measure as the work progresses toward completion.
