CHURCH IN ACTION News and Announcements

Branches newly dedicated

From the November 1974 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Means that edifice is free of debt

A much-looked-forward-to occasion for the members of each branch Church of Christ, Scientist, is church dedication. This occurs when a new edifice is free of debt. Memberships generally make the occasion —and something of the church's history—known through local newspapers, with a special invitation to their communities to join them in attending the Sunday dedicatory service.
