"There is no disease"

From the November 1974 issue of The Christian Science Journal

On page 421 of the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health, Mrs. Eddy makes the unequivocal statement: "There is no disease." She also states in the same book: "What is termed disease does not exist. It is neither mind nor matter." Science and Health, p. 188

In view of the testimony of the corporeal senses, these statements may seem startling. They are nonetheless supported in the experience of Mrs. Eddy and many sincere students of Christian Science by the demonstration of the spiritual truth that was proven by Christ Jesus, namely, that God is infinite Spirit, or divine good, and man is the idea of Spirit, the wholly spiritual likeness of God, incapable of disease or mortal discord of any kind.

Since disease Is actually "neither mind nor matter," it can only be an illusive error, a mere misstatement or denial of the ever-presence of God's infinite perfection and harmony. As such, it is not something to be stopped or got rid of; it is a lie to be disbelieved.
