We All Can Impart Truth

From the November 1974 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Everyone, of any age or occupation, has frequent opportunities to show forth in words and actions the spiritual ideas needed by mankind. The supply of inspired ideas to help and heal humanity is unlimited. To impart truth, we need a clear apprehension of spiritual being. This reveals to us useful ways to help others understand God and their true spiritual identity in Him.

Imparting the truth of spiritual man, the emanation of God, is satisfying. But constant alertness and dedication are required in order to convey to others the spiritual understanding that brings about moral regeneration and physical healing. And this is certainly an activity we all can engage in—young people and adults, students, money earners, retired workers, and so on.

We can usefully ask ourselves: What are other people learning from us about the realities of being and man's function in God's universe? Are we helping others lift their views of themselves to the Godlike nature that is man's true selfhood as God's child? Do our words and examples encourage others to reach above limiting personal self-concepts up to the Christ view of man as spiritual, the reflection of God, divine Spirit?
