CHURCH IN ACTION News and Announcements

Gifts that give

From the November 1974 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Christmas is rapidly approaching. And many Mother Church members are already taking stock of their friends and acquaintances who might appreciate a gift subscription to one of the Christian Science periodicals.

Annually the Publishing Society invites church members to take part in the Special Holiday Gift Subscription Program, which this year includes the Christian Science Sentinel as well as The Christian Science Monitor. This month and next, Circulation Representatives (or special committees) in branch churches will be encouraging fellow members to share in the good feeling that comes from really meaningful giving—because the Monitor and Sentinel do make a difference in the quality of people's lives.

A couple in Idaho gave a Monitor gift subscription to some friends of theirs, admittedly with a little reluctance.
