Two new cassettes have been added to the "Workshop in Reading Aloud" series. Containing four 30-minute talks, they make a valuable addition to the original set of 11 tapes.
On one cassette Neil Millar shares some thoughts on the subject "Inspiration in Reading Aloud." He speaks from an understanding of inspiration gained as a creative writer, contributor to the Christian Science periodicals, and speaker on creative writing. And Derek Holmes, a former professional actor and branch church Reader, shows in his talk, "Technique in Reading Aloud," there is no need for conflict between the technical and inspirational.
On the other cassette, Shirley Keith brings to her subject, "What the Stranger Sees and Hears at Our Services," the insight acquired during ten years of travel to over 1,000 branch churches. And William H. Waite, who has had extensive reading experience and been First Reader of The Mother Church, speaks about "Preparing the Wednesday Evening Reading."
