I'm very grateful for the one who introduced me to Christian Science. In over thirty years' study of this Science, I have seen and had many proofs of its healing power.
My initial healing occurred while I was attending a Christian Science lecture for the first time. This was a healing of the smoking habit, and it took place before I became a student. We had three children after I became a student of Christian Science, and in each instance the birth was painless.
While my husband and I were walking in a wooded area, I was bitten by a snake. When I assured my husband that all was well, he left me free to treat myself through prayer in Science. We continued our walk, stopped to visit with a neighbor, and returned home at dark. Although the pain was increasing, I was confident of the supremacy of God, good, and of my inseparability from Him as His child. I prepared dinner, and after eating it we did the things we normally do in the course of an evening.
