While I have given many testimonies in branch churches, for many years it has been my intention to write a testimony to express my deep appreciation for Christian Science.
When we were children our family's first contact with Christian Science was through a healing my mother had of what was then called a "quinsy throat." A playmate of my sister saw our mother's discomfort and told her of Christian Science treatment. A practitioner was called and my mother had an instantaneous healing. The throat condition never returned.
After this healing, both my sister and I attended the Christian Science Sunday School. One Sunday, while in Sunday School, I had an extremely severe headache. The superintendent took me in her arms and through her loving prayers this condition, which I had had frequently throughout my early childhood, disappeared and has never returned.
