Young family men in the practice

From the June 1978 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Entering the public practice of Christian Science is an entirely individual demonstration. No two people will have exactly the same experience. One element, however, is basic to all who make this move successfully: They have a strong conviction of its rightness, of their having been called by God to devote full time to the healing work.

Two couples—we'll call them Ned and Sue, Bob and Ellen—talked over the transition period when the husbands began in the public practice of Christian Science. Both couples have children. This discussion is an edited version of their taped conversation.

Ellen: How long after you were married did Ned go into the practice?
