Suppose you could go back in time three hundred years to be among the people of 1679! Imagine their reaction to some of the marvels you might describe—airplanes, spaceships, computers, television, to name only a few. Would they believe you? Probably not, because your explanations would exceed what to them would seem scientifically possible.
Having lived in 1979, you would be certain of your facts, because of firsthand knowledge. Even the people's disbelief would not shake your confidence in what you knew to be true.
What of one whose understanding of man's infinite capacities was not just three hundred years in advance but virtually light-years ahead of his contemporaries? One who, out of firsthand knowledge, could tell of wonders to come from understanding man's unity with the divine Principle of all real being? One whose own understanding of Truth was so complete he could demonstrate the authority of what he had to say? What kind of reception would he have? Why, the kind of reception he did have. I am referring to Christ Jesus, of course.
