We can help our world

From the February 1981 issue of The Christian Science Journal

We live in a world of accelerating change. Instant communication is bringing people of different cultures and remote areas closer together than ever before. No longer do racial unrest, terrorist violence, political turmoil, and warfare seem confined to someone else's part of the world.

Looking at the world through the material senses, we see little stability or security. But Christ Jesus tells us, "Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment."John 7:24. Is there a way to "judge righteous judgment" and find the source of stability?

There certainly is. As we look beyond the evidence of the material senses to spiritual reality, we will be able to help correct the danger, hostility, and confusion in the world with the truth of being. Spiritually discerning that God's man is perfect and expresses His government, we are doing our part in helping to stabilize our world. We are bringing to light the government of Spirit—the only real government—which is always stable, moral, righteous.
