In the Manual of The Mother Church our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, was inspired to provide for the continuity of her teaching by the establishment of a Board of Education. Every third year, applications are welcomed from qualified Christian Science practitioners. Commitment to and an active practice of Christian Science healing are paramount. This is not only implied but is directly referred to in the By-Law "Healing Better than Teaching" (Man., Art. XXX, Sect. 7).
Practitioners listed in The Christian Science Journal who feel ready for the ongoing responsibilities of Normal class, and who wish to be considered for the class to be held in December 1982, should request an application from:
