Third world mother's prayer

From the November 1982 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Have You forgotten me, Lord?
I have been praying so hard;
My children hunger for bread.
Earth burdens weigh on my head.

Yet I remember Your Word:
No sparrow falls but You know;
The wheat and lilies, they grow.
I will go forth now and sow.

If I sow seedlings of trust,
In good soil, then I must
Eventually reap what I sow;
For good thoughts can only grow.

When I ask bread for my own,
You will not give me a stone.
