Spiritual completeness: important in healing

From the July 1983 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Have you claimed your spiritual completeness—your womanhood as well as your manhood? This is one of the important things to be clear about in the practice of Christian Science healing.

As we study and live Christian Science, we begin to understand more of the fatherhood and motherhood of God. We are no longer content to think of ourselves as mere mortals endeavoring to become spiritual, but realize that we are the spiritual ideas of our Father-Mother God here and now. No longer do we accept that as a child or an unmarried person we are incomplete; or that as a widow, widower, or divorced individual we have lost our completeness. Our true wholeness is established in God and cannot be divided.

We have within our own being the fullness of both manhood and womanhood. We have the qualities of strength, purpose, wisdom, dominion; and equally, the qualities of love, tenderness, peacefulness, and calmness.
