My previous testimony (published in the October 12, 1963, issue of the Christian Science Sentinel) related physical healings. This time I would like to share experiences which proved to me that radical reliance on divine Mind's guidance and control always brings exactly what's needed.
During the Second World War I lived and worked in a YMCA Canteen Hut. The work was rewardingly active, but as the time came to go back home at the end of the war, I felt torn. On the one hand it seemed I would be taking a backward step, returning to the largely domestic work I had done before the war. However, I had promised my mother that I would come back and stay with her. So I decided I would not consider what kind of work I would undertake until two months after my return.
During these months I refused to outline what this work might be as I felt I could rely on divine Mind's plan and purpose, trusting that I would use what I had gained from my experiences during the war. But I wanted to dispense something more meaningful than refreshments.
