And perhaps you feel this way about The Mother Church, as well. Many members cherish its purpose and its activities so much that they aren't content to be in touch only once a year, at per capita tax time. They send contributions regularly—monthly, and sometimes even weekly.
These gifts over and above the per capita tax are very much appreciated. Sent to the General Purpose Fund, where per capita taxes also go, they can be applied to any ongoing activity of the Church.
