It would be impossible for me to express sufficiently the gratitude I feel for Christian Science or to tell of the protection, guidance, and many healings that we as a family have enjoyed for more than fifty-five years.
Before I knew of Christian Science, at one point early in our marriage, every now and then I would say to my husband, "Why don't we go and hear your dad read?" (His father was serving a term as First Reader at a branch church.) My husband would answer, "OK, if you want to." At no time did any of the family press their views of Christian Science on me. I was so delighted to be a part of that dear family. I just wanted to find out something about the religion that meant so much to them.
One day early in my pregnancy with our first baby I said to my husband, "I think I will have this baby with the help of Christian Science." My husband looked at me in amazement and exclaimed, "You'd better talk to my mother." I did and she told me about Christian Science practitioners. I found there were several in the church, and I chose one of them to work with me prayerfully during the pregnancy and birth.
