Church Bulletin Board

From the June 1989 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Whether at a shopping mall, on a college campus, or in the foyer of a church, a bulletin board is a great place for people to share information. You can learn a lot about an active community from reading local bulletin boards. We hope you'll enjoy this bulletin board and feel encouraged to join in and share experiences.

A young fellow came into the Reading Room one day. His bike had been stolen and he wanted revenge. In addition, he said the neighborhood he lived in was a bad one and not really safe to live in.

We talked for a while about God's impartial love, and we even explored some of the reasons why people fall into the temptation to steal. He decided to go into the study room and listen to a tape of a recent Christian Science shortwave radio program entitled "Loving our enemies." Soon he had to go home.
