Church Bulletin Board

Whether at a shopping mall, on a college campus, or in the foyer of a church, a bulletin board is a great place for people to share information. You can learn a lot about an active community from reading local bulletin boards. We hope you'll enjoy this bulletin board and feel encouraged to join in and share experiences.

"Do we really want people in need to come to our church? Are we ready?" We asked ourselves these questions as we searched for spiritually motivated and effective ways to look outward to our community.

Instead of pinning down details in early meetings, we focused on the nature and purpose of a Christian Science lecture. As we discussed the many needs of our community, we grew, really, from being do-gooders to grasping a higher view of the mission of revealing the Christ, of sharing with our equals. Our overriding objective became, in Mrs. Eddy's words, giving "a cup of cold water in Christ's name ..."
