Probably no aspect of Christian Science has come under more intense public discussion recently than Christian Science healing.
Yet the outcome has been different from what many might have imagined. There has been more attention to healing practice, not less. This isn't surprising in view of the extent of the prayer and metaphysical work that have been set in motion.
The comments of a Lutheran pastor in this issue (see "More 'Signs of the Times,'" p. 31) indicate the depth to which thought is being stirred. Christian Scientists, too, are experiencing a reawakened commitment to the Science of Christ, which underlies Christian healing. This is the source of the vitality that renews.
