While on the island of Lamu, she did indeed seem to be very ill for a few days, but she was dedicated to prayer and spiritual healing. Every time a new symptom appeared, she faced it courageously, put down the fear through prayer, and was very receptive to the truths of Christian Science which were shared with her by others on the trip.
