When I was a sophomore in college I had an opportunity to spend a term traveling through East Africa with other Christian Science students. This trip was a dream come true.
Before I left, I specifically prayed to understand better that all of God's creatures live in harmony with one another and that I could not be harmed or fearful of the various wildlife we would encounter.
God's loving care was proved to me on several occasions. While we were on safari, a warthog charged me but at that last moment changed his course, missing me by just a few inches. On another day, I found a large tick on my body. I calmly looked away and prayed, knowing that my true identity could not be invaded. The tick was then removed easily and without discomfort.
