Giving and receiving

From the May 1993 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Giving and receiving are interdependent;
One cannot exist without the other,
Bestower and bestowed upon...
Reciprocally blest.

How to explain such completeness?
Look to the only infinitely all-caring One—
Creator and All-in-all,
Provider of good.

Impulse to give is Love in action;
Grace to receive is the smile of Soul.

Joy gives abundantly; humility receives sweetly—twin abilities
Sharing the same source: God, inexhaustible good.
