One wonders why the world does not more readily accept spiritual healing. Humanity keeps searching for new sets of rules for establishing good health, yet we have always had the reliable and proven example of Christ Jesus. He demonstrated spiritual healing and promised that we would do this also. I offer this testimony in the hope that it will strengthen the reader's faith in the trustworthiness of spiritual means.
In the healing of recurring earaches experienced by our little daughter, three stages of spiritual growth were evident. The first occurrence of the earache was quickly relieved through the prayers of a Christian Science practitioner. I accepted the healing as natural, however the problem recurred.
This time my husband, who had little interest in Christian Science, took the child to a local doctor for treatment. This was not an effective solution, for the pain was not alleviated and our little girl suffered for several days. This was a distressing time for all of us. However, it was a progressive step in my own spiritual growth, as well as a beginning for my husband. The reliability of Christian Science had been proved to me many times before, and I was convinced that nothing could surpass the prayer taught in Christian Science and based on the teachings of the Bible.
